Tyre'd out

So, for the first time this evening I took my tyre (christened Terrence) for his first evening trot. I felt pretty self-conscious running through the village with it bouncing along behind me and this wasn't helped by my ever supportive wife laughing continuously. Anyway onto the tramway and towpath and it suddenly dawned on me how tough this was going to be. It alternated between bouncing and snagging and never let me settle into a proper running stride. I'd aimed to do 30 minutes but in the end managed 45, covering about 8km, and my legs certainly felt as though they'd done some work. My goal of covering marathon distances with it seem a long way off.
