Wednesday 24th February 2010I have just about recovered from my avalanche induced back injury. It has taken 3 osteopath sessions to crunch my vertebra back in to position. Its great now, I can sleep through the night without waking up with my back in spasm. I am now looking forward to getting fit again.
There is a lot to look forward to this year. The Openadventure Endurance Series is made up of a 5, 12 and 24 hour non-stop multidiscipline event. Planetfear are this years headline sponsors. Anyone who has not yet competed in an Openadventure event you are missing out on the best organised and most friendly events out there. I will be competing in the Series with Emily Brooks. Openadventure also have a 4-day non stop race sponsored by adidas in the pipeline. Hopefully we can get an entry for that.
Loads of other events too including the polaris in a few weeks. DarkandWhite 3 hour trail quests and summer evening 2 hour trailquests.
As well as all of the racing I have some great trips in the pipeline including Easter ski touring, Mingulay climbing at 1/2 term and Dolomites climbing at the beginning of the summer.
Sometimes I wonder if I should concentrate on one thing and get better at that? I think I prefer to do a bit of everything.
