Tuesday 28th September 2010Another year goes by, so another trip to Mallorca. There's something about this place I can't resist year in, year out - probably the cheap flights and gamba addiction! Rachel and I grabbed some last minute flights in June and headed out late September. We were met by our friend Jake Rogers - a DWS virgin - and had a solid ten days of climbing, eating chocolate pastries and avoiding the policia. Making full use of our hire car, we went to a different crag every day. We spent most of our evenings at Cala Barques catching the last of the sun.

I guess this trip was a good opportunity for me to gain a bit of strength before heading back to north Wales for my final year at Bangor and some trad action. For the last night Rach and I decided to head north into the mountains and found a freebie campsite in Lluc with beautiful scenery. We trusted our shit road map and headed to Sa Calobra which we thought would be a beautiful secluded beach. Unfortunately the tourist season is not over so we joined flocks of depressed-looking German tourists down to the limestone cliffs where there could be some new undiscovered DWS? Until next year...
Just tried to fly home on the 23th but because of strikes in France most flights out of Palma have been cancelled! Next available flight is not till 29th, in 6 days. Easyjet have put us up in a hotel in Magaluf, oh balls. We actually drove through here a few days ago for a joke and now we are actually stuck here! Not cool. . .
