Three Peaks Cyclo-Cross

I wrote an article (http://www.planetfear.com/articles/3_Peaks_Cyclocross_2006_761.html )almost two years ago about one of my favourite races, the three peaks cyclo-cross. If you read it, you may have picked up on the fact that I am a little obsessed about this race and really wanted to win it!

The race didn't happen in 2007 because of foot and mouth. It did happen this year and I had been training for it quite hard.

After all the wetness of the summer, the race took place on a fantastic day; sunny with little wind.

Rob Jebb (above) was going for his seventh consecutive win and not only achieved that but broke his own record by 50 seconds. Andy Peace (a former winner of both the three peaks cyclo- cross and fell race) was third and first Vet. The training for me paid off, I beat my previous best time by over 12 minutes and won the ladies.

I have had a big smile on my face for over a week!!!
