At last, some beautiful weather !
I have been travelling round loads recently, and found it difficult to find places to go climbing, even in short bursts.
The Gadd came up with a brilliant solution. I am sure many of you love climbing for what it is, rather than training training training, but right now, after two stints of injury – I am more psyched than ever and eager to get back to form.
Here’s what you can do, and the best thing about it is that it only takes 10 minutes. Brilliant!
Find a climbing gym, or a fingerboard or even the edge of a door. If you can’t get that, find a playground, or anything that you can hang off. Get psyched, stick some energy charged tunes on your ipod, and get to it!
5 leg raises, 5 press-ups then 5 pull ups.
Repeat that 9 more times and see if you can do the whole lot (50 of each) it in under 10 minutes
It’s the way forward, and if you find that too easy, do 100 of each in 20 minutes. If you’re still able to read the paper between sets, try 150 of each in 30 minutes! If you can do that, you should be climbing F8c
Also if you get some Metolius Rock Rings, and carry them round in the boot of the car, it will improve your finger strength too.
