planetFear Lakes Epic Event

Arguably one of the most naturally beautiful national parks in the UK, The Lakes District is renowned and respected as an incredible mountain biking destination. Throw in England's highest mountains, unpredictable weather and unforgiving terrain - and the result is a challenge in an amazing 2 day mountain biking adventure called the Lakes Epic!

Riders are expected to be physically and technically capable of riding (and walking) some challenging trails that include steep climbs, exposed singletrack, rocky and technical descents. The proposed route includes more than 100km's of riding and 3,000m altitude gains - over the two days.
Expect to scale some enormous mountain ranges and traverse mountain ridges that leave riders completely exposed to the elements. Balance and nerve are two characteristics that are required throughout this challenge and those that are fit and technically proficient will thoroughly enjoy the challenge the Lakes Epic provides.

The planetFear Lakes Epic is a new two day Mountain Bike Challenge; each route is designed to ensure as many highlights of the Lake District are taken in over this two day challenge, you will not be disappointed!

Day one covers 65KM including two Lake District epics.

Day two covers 45KM including a Lake District classic.

Both days will be challenging routes including loose rocky descents, moorland, steep grassy ascents and some amazing singletrack. Entry fees include transportation of kit, overnight stay (in tent), Saturday night dinner, Sunday breakfast and feed stations.
