Men's Health Survival of the Fittest – Manchester/events/Mens_Health_Survival_of_the_Fittest__Manchester_2210.html2013-11-02The 2013 Manchester event will again link 2 dramatically different venues on a traffic-free running route: The urban spaces and stadia of Sport City and the urban-oasis of Phillips Park and Clayton Vale. It's a race of 2 halves, with Sport City offering up monster obstacle rigs from the Survival engineers amongst an uber-urban backdrop; and the Park featuring a fair chunk of mud, sweat and tears. Plus the odd soaking.

There's 15 zones in total - each packing multiple obstacles and some harbouring as many as 10 different pieces of equipment for you to tackle. In total, expect to grip to grips with around 70 bts of kit around the course. That's a lorra-lorra obstacles.

Men's Health Survival of the Fittest – Edinburgh/events/Mens_Health_Survival_of_the_Fittest__Edinburgh_2212.html2013-10-20From a base centrally located in Princes Street Gardens, we will be taking you up, down and all over Edinburgh. This is the hilly one and you should expect some healthy gradient in this event. Practise your ups and your downs and make sure you are ready to keep going even when your legs are telling you to stop. From the drama of the volcanic skyline and the stunning city centre parks, to the old and eery cityscape of the Medieval Old Town, this is an adventure at the very core of Auld Reekie and a route that will catapult you along a roller coaster of 1000 years of proud Scottish history. For 2013, expect for the most part the same stunning route as 2012, but watch out for new obstacles alongside some of the old favourites that we will be rolling out this year. As ever in Edinburgh, the changing city skyline might mean a visit to a different venue or two as sites fall in and out of use across the city.

Men's Health Survival of the Fittest – Cardiff/events/Mens_Health_Survival_of_the_Fittest__Cardiff_2211.html2013-09-29The event village for the 2013 event will be located again at the spectacular Roald Dahl Plas in the "Oval Basin" events arena, next to the gleaming Wales Millennium Centre and the Welsh Assembly, right on the waterfront of Cardiff Bay. The action starts and finishes here, with a spectacular charge over the Hay Bale Wall starting the race right in front of the Wales Millennium Centre and a gruelling climb over the MH Wall of Fame on the menu for when you return, to the delight of the huge crowd that gathers here. With a route taking in both the city centre and the water-side elements of the City, the Cardiff course will be sensationally urban and maybe a little "watery" too.
