25th Marathon des Sables

Conceived in 1986, the Marathon des Sables (marathon of the sands), now in it's 25th year, is considered to be the toughest foot race on earth. Consisting of a 254 km (156 mile) course, it is the equivalent of 6 marathons back to back over the Moroccan Sahara desert.

One of the most serious adventure racing events the world over, this is quite possibly the ultimate race.
