Highlander Mountain Marathon 2010

The Highlander Mountain Marathon is an event for people with a sense of adventure

It follows a traditional mountain marathon format in which teams of two navigate their way around a two-day course in the Highlands of Scotland

£500 prize for winners of A Class Mens, Womens and Mixed

 A range of courses are available which enables the event to cater for elite athletes to first timers

There is a midway marquee with hot food, traditional Scottish music and ceilidh dancing.

The location for this year's Highlander is in the wonderful hills around Gairloch.

From Inverness head North towards Dingwall on the A9 then take the A835 west to Garve. From here take the A832 all the way to Gairloch

Registration will be at Gairloch Academy. This will be signed from the A832

Registration Friday 5 - 10pm and Saturday 7 - 8am

There are lots of Bed and Breakfasts in the area. There's also camping at Big Sands campsite approx 4 miles west of Gairloch

Parking will be spread around Gairloch. Please follow marshal instructions for parking on Saturday morning

All teams will be bussed to the start on Saturday morning. The first buses will leave at 8am and the journey will take approx 20 mins. You will be given your bus times at registration
