Mtn Biking - Dalbeattie Slab

Has anyone ridden the Slab at Dalbeattie and survived??? I'm going up there soon and was wondering if anyone had any advice for me, I've seen footage of people messing this up big time!

Yeah i've looked at it a few times as i've ridden the route now (didn't ride the slab), but it looks like it's the lip at the start of slab that's the killer? If it just rode straight off it wouldn't look anywhere near as bad. But it looks like if you mess that lip up it's goodbye chin all the way down?
