Phase base layer garments apply the latest thinking in moisture management and temperature regulation. Phase fabrics are designed to spread moisture over the whole of the garment during intense activity for better evaporation rates. This helps keep the user drier and more comfortable. Phase garments also feature anti-microbial silver ions that are encapsulated within the hydrophobic yarns during the manufacturing process. This process produces a long lasting odour control effect. This process is also less harmful to the environment than traditional silver ion treatments as no grey-water is produced. The SV fabric is the heaviest and most insulating of the different fabric weights and best suited to stop and go activities in cold environments such as backcountry skiing and ice climbing, or for those who feel the cold.
