Patagonia R1 Hoody

The Patagonia R1 Hoody has become one of those sought after, legendary pieces, in only a couple of years. There isn't much else out there that does what the R1 Hoody does so well. Wear it as a base layer and the trim long cut stays tucked in and stretches well. The Polartec grid fabric also wicks really well to keep your skin dry. As a mid layer it insulates just enough for year round use and layers up well under other garments. The real deal however is the hood and collar design. Sure, it'll give you the full on 'ninja' look, but more importantly it warms brilliantly under a helmet or hood and keeps spindrift and blowing snow at bay so you can worry about that dodgy compass bearing off the Ben, not the conditions.
