Friday 6th August 2010On the 18th June 2010 planetFear reported that Extreme Skiier Fredrik Ericsson was to re-start his bid to ski the world's three highest mountains, however it has been recently reported that Ericsson has fallen over 1000m to his death whilst climbing to the summit of K2.
Reports of the incident are still hazy and the full details are unknown but it is thought that a 'good weather window' that was forecast, was incorrect and may have had some bearing on the fall.
Ericsson had planned to ski Everest, K2 and Kangchenjunga, however in July 2009, Ericsson's climbing partner Michele Fait also fell to his death on K2 whilst descending, bringing Ericsson's ambitious plan abruptly to a halt.
Further details on the tragic death of Ericsson are expected to emerge when climbing partner Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner, reaches communications.
