Tuesday 4th October 2011KMF is not all extreme action - films genres include culture, drama, wildlife and environmental documentaries plus a huge lecture programme. Other highlights include arts and literature events, plus the highly respected 'Adventure Film Academy' for aspiring film-makers - involving the BBC and other key organisations.
The KMF is by far the largest and most varied event of its type in Europe and it's the main social event for outdoor enthusiasts in the UK.

Thursday will see Free Flight Night take place, headed by local Jon Chambers who is recently back from the Red Bull X-Alps where he grabbed 5th place in this astonishing race.
Friday sees the adidas Terrex Endurance Night, showcasing team planetFear's Ant Emmet and Bruce Duncan as they take the audience through their Epic Tri completed earlier in the year, with planetFear's editor Dave MacFarlane premiering The Epic Tri film that came out of the event.
Bike Night will also take place in the Dojo on Friday with highly acclaimed MTB filmmaker Clay Porter, plus the Longhope Route film premiere of Dave MacLeod and Andy Turner's 500m ascent of the largest cliff in the UK on the isle of Hoy taking place in the Brewery Arts Centre Theatre.
Saturday will see Matt Helliker and Jon Bracey talk about their recent ascent of the Moonflower Buttress in Alaska, previously reported by planetFear here>
Plus talks by Jerry Gore, Ed Drummond, Nazir Sabir, Kenton Cool, Dale Tempar, Richard Parks, John Beatty, James Pearson, Cameron McNeish and Richard Else, Lyn Hill, Corey Richards and Denis Urubko and Simone Moro.

Sunday sees the hugely entertaining Andy Kirkpatrick talk about his new book Cold Wars, Johnny Dawes takes to the stage for what promises to be a superb talk about his autobiography 'Full of Myself' in addition Jon Faull, Colin Mortlock and Nick Bullock will also be featuring on Sunday's programme.
