Friday 22nd April 2005Yesterday evening, planetFear won the coveted Yorkshire Internet Award for the ‘Best Business-2-Consumer’ website in the region.
The awards were presented by Adrienne Lawler from Sky News at a gala dinner held in Leeds. As the finalist were announced, Adrienne hinted that the winner sounded scary, and we knew that we had it in the bag!

The judges commented on planetFear’s intuitive navigation, unique combination of content and e-commerce and commitment to outstanding customer services.

The awards programme, supported by the regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward, acknowledges and promotes those companies in Yorkshire and The Humber that demonstrate excellence in the internet industry.
Commenting for planetFear Shane Ohly said, “It’s really a delight to win this award as recognition of all the hard work that the team have put in over the years. It was also great that Andrew Chaffer, from the South Yorkshire Investment fund, who has supported and invested in planetFear for over three years, was able to join us in celebrating our achievements”.
Cause for a double celebration, was that fact that the new media agency that planetFear work with, Quba New Media, also won an award for the ‘Best South Yorkshire Internet Company’.
