Helix Screw

A simple but effective winding screw. No parts need to be opened or moved before, or whilst placing, making it perhaps the fastest screw to place. The Helix also has a large end ring, making it quick and easy to clip a carabiner to it.

The Helix was reasonably easy to place one handed, and was equally easy to use when wearing gloves or mittens, so it was a great screw for using during a week in Rukjan, Norway.

The Helix comes in just three lengths – 120mm(145g), 160mm(168g) and 200mm(191g).
At just £34.99, and slightly cheaper than some of the other fast placing ice-screws, this is a good buy.
