Friday 2nd July 2010Rob's blog will bring regular updates on mountaineering conditions in the Chamonix Valley.
Rob Wills is a qualified IFMGA mountain guide and has worked in the outdoor industry for over 20 years - including instructing at both Plas-y-Brenin and Glenmore Lodge.
An experienced mountaineer, Rob has an enviable list of ascents including Mount McKinley, the North Face of the Eiger and a solo ascent of the Walker Spur. Rob regularly freelances for Adventure Peaks, having recently led expeditions to Aconcagua and Everest.
With an intimate knowledge of the Alps, Rob spends the whole summer guiding there and has done so for the last 10 years. He bases himself in the Chamonix valley and also works out of the Arolla, Saas Fee and Zermatt valleys in Switzerland.
His blog will be regularly updated during the summer, giving you the low-down on what conditions are like in the Chamonix Valley and across into Switzerland. He'll tell you which routes are in nick and what's downright dangerous.
