The Lemon House new website + new hard routes

It's five years since we built our web site and it was time for an update.
  • We are doing more mountain biking and kayaking so these activities need more prominence;
  • Peter has finished translating the Ogliastra section for the new 5th edition of the Pietra di Luna guide to climbing in Sardinia, and we have updated the climbing pages to reflect all the crags that will be in the new guide;
  • Over summer 2010 we’ve made loads of videos, which you can see on The Lemon House’s YouTube channel, and we wanted to make use of them in the site;
  • We have loads of great photos of climbing, walking, mountain biking, road cycling and kayaking in Sardinia, and we wanted to show them on the site and not hide them away in a separate album
  • Technology has moved on, and our existing blogging platform WordPress allows us to manage our photos, blog and the English and the Italian language site from a single solution

Here is a great video of our great friend Jan Kares making the FFA of Makak 8a+ at Su Telargiu Oro, Baunei. Yesterday Lenka freed “Yes We Can”, 7c, the project Peter has been working on a top-rope. Peter is very happy that the people who’ve put most work into bolting Su Telargiu Oro are now freeing the routes and that some more 7b-c routes are being bolted! Today Jan made the FFA of Sláva Inženýrům a new route to the left of No We Can’t 7b+ and Švarný Myslivec 7c/7c+; a new 6b+ “The Indian Princess” was added to the right of RSVP. Thanks to all our Czech friends, including Slavek who sprained his ankle and couldn’t come! To climb with them you only need to know 3 words of Czech: Povol (slack), dober (take), děkuji (thanks). “Come on” needs no translation and is the most important!
