Codeleddu new Sardinia bouldering area

Peter, together with 60 other boulderers and their families, participated yesterday in the "unveiling" of this new Sardinia bouldering area, at 700 m altitude and facing SW, on the Codeleddu granite plateau in the Parco dei Sette Fratelli (Setti Fradis). If you're travelling between The Lemon House and Cagliari, this is the best place to spend a day bouldering, and, with the flat landings, you can manage without a crashpad, but note that some problems are highball, like the lovely slab "Figlio del Terrore". Giorgio Tagliasacchi, who discovered the area, and Valeria had organised a bouldering competition with Swiss precision, with instructions for getting there as well as a topo with 64 boulders from 4 to 7B each with "points" (from which you can work out the grade) for the competition. For the modest €10 entry fee, you got the cool green T-shirt which everyone wore, chocolate/fruit, fruit juice and a bottle of water. GO!
