This weekend, the Depakhuys guest farm played host to Rockstock 3. Over 100 climbers turned out to celebrate the 2009 climbing season. This was the third year Rockstock had been run and it seems to be going from strength to strength.
This year featured the 'International Air star Championships'. For those of you unaware of Air Star it is an air guitar competition where Air Stars from around the globe come battle their skills in attempt to be crowned the Air Star champion.

There were 14 appearances in all, but 'Norwegia' blew everyone away with an incredible rendition of 'The Darkness, I believe in a thing called love'.

The event wasn't without a few casualties, most notably was Liam Desroy who fell asleep by the fire in Justin's sleeping bag and was only awoken by the soles of his shoes catching fire. He then faced with a 1km back to his chalet barefoot.
Warning! This is what can happen if you sleep next to a fire.
The whole event was amazing and demonstrated what could be done with a bit of belief and the support of some good friends. A huge thanks has to be given to Justin, Thys and Mark for the use of their farm providing all the food and alcohol, Ben for manning the bar and everyone who helped out especially Team Germania.
